When an AI says a candidate is an 87% match, what does that actually mean? If your tool can't tell you which signals drove that number, you don't have decision support. You have a black box.

  • The criteria it scored against
  • The signals it found in the CV or transcript
  • What was missing or low-confidence

Why this matters beyond compliance

Recruiters who can see why a score is high or low calibrate faster, override better, and trust the tool more over time. Black boxes erode trust on the first surprise.
